Thanks to everyone that came out to URBAN2.0 this weekend –it was a blast and we got props from the ESL staff on the amount of people we got in there (especially since it was early) and I got some props from various people through-out the night, which of course made my night = )
So right as the night’s winding down and we’re just throwing down some various hip-hop tracks to keep those last 20 people happy and I drop “Party Works” by Donnis and realize I’ve been sitting on a little dnace floor gem. Well, not realize per say as I’ve dug it for a while, its just I haven’t had much of a chance to drop it anywhere. Not only does Ryze (fellow deejay at that point in the night) get totally down to it, but I see the people on down by the bar totally rocking out and I wonder why this track hasn’t seen more love before.
Donnis hails from Atlanta and currently is rocking it out in Tokyo. He’s got a quality selections of tracks up on his MySpace, and there’s a lot more in the works it seems. Definitely someone you need to keep an ear to. Besides, how can you not like someone who’s hobbies include:
Traveling throughout the universe, watching pornographic material, exotic women, and drinking vodka slurpies
