Remix 24 : Kicking it Back to the New Skool

Staton Warriors, Public Enemey, Goose, Armand Van Helden and More!

Spent 4+ hours dealing with the DMV today, wasn’t fun but totally could have been worse. Have a some cool stuff for you this week, so lets get down to it.

Armand Van Helden is one of those names I’ve know for years, and no matter what direction music goes, he totally keeps his edge. “NYC Beat”, “Touch Your Toes”, “Playmate” and “I Want Your Soul” are all new singles that have been tearing up dance floors and received wicked remixes (Fake Blood Mix of “I Want Your Soul” and the Stretch Armstrong Remix of “Touch Your Toes” in particular). Well there’s an official remix EP for “I Want Your Soul” that’s about to drop on Ultra Records that’s got some more sick remixes. Be prepared!

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Armand Van Helden - “I Want Your Soul (Crookers Crunk Remix)”

I couldn’t choose between this and the Dusty Kid Suga Vocal Dub, but I figured this one is more inline with that I usually post. The Dusty Kid mix is filthy, filthy and dirty and makes me want to hump things.

The Van Helden Space
Snag these remixes and more from Ultra Records.

Ok, I don’t know how many Ferry Corsten records Trixie and I own, but he’s totally not someone I’ve thought of lately. I used to drop “Dance Valley” to Jungle kids and watch them go nuts, and we used to watch the “Rock Your Body, Rock” vinyl destroy our minds with its almost needle jumping trick. Well he’s back with a cross over track that I think the dance blog massive will love:

Public Enemy vs. Ferry Corsten - “Bring the Noise Remix(Ferry Corsten Radio Edit)”

This is also dropping on Ultra Records, so check it when it does.

Here’s another old skool name: Stanton Warriors.

They’ve always done wicked remixes with their unique style, even giving some loving to Shaun’s favorate guitar rocker (Hint: His name is spelled J. o. s. é. G. o. n. z. á. l. e. z.). There’s 4 tracks up on Djdownloads.com that are all tight like that 13 yr old Trixie slept with during her come down from The Beetles Lounge. Music! Ok! Here’s a totally new take on Goose’s “Bring It On”:

Goose - “Bring It On (Stanton Warriors Remix)”

Check the pre-releases from DjDownloads.com

There are off of Skint Records and full remix album is set to drop on 28 August 2007, so be sure to snag that when it does!

And lastly, because it was posted initially in its un-tagged form (hence poor meta data for all the aggregaters [not aggregators] out there), here’s my latest remix:
