Teletextile Dies Young

Dj Die Young/Teletextile

Here’s a change of pace for you kids.

Teletextile
is a collaboration between the lovely vocals of Pamela Martinez and the musical styles of Brian Hamilton where they’ve created this hauntingly cheerful and lush sound –capturing your ear even before you realize you’ve been trapped. Trying to twist away only results in intensifying strings and a crescendoing piano to keep you trapped as more vocals slowly creep up to pull you back down. Its not until you give up and stop the fight does trap relent, with the gentle whisper of “Somehow, it all works out” gently comforting your cochlea.

Teletextile - “Heartquake”

On top of that comes a remix from Boston’s Dj Die Young: taking the original and twisting it into an unexpected early night dance floor number, DDY transforms “Heartquake” into a track to get the crowd into it while they’re still sipping PBR and trying to look cool.

Its also a worthwhile addition if you normally bang the fuck out of crowd, but yet some how end up with an unexpected gig at a venue where people normally expect more of a deep/tribal/progressive house kinda sound… not that I have anything like that coming up. Nope. Not at all.

Be sure to check out more from the Teletextile MySpace or on the Interwebs. Also be sure to check out more remixes from DJ Die Young and look for him whenever you go party it up in Boston.
