Usually, it’s Hacks that brings the remixed goodness. This time, however, I’m stepping in-and for a very specific reason.
Our very own Deejay Hacks has gotten his hands around one of Ciara’s goodies, and, if I do say so myself, it’s a freakin’ banger:

Hacks, with his weekly remix and other various postings here at Res Mag and his slammed-to-the-floor DJ sets, has become one of Atlanta’s biggest and loudest proponents for the merging of raw electro-funk, even rawer rock and the rawest (most raw?) crunk. With this re-rub of Ciara’s now-classic “1-2 Step”, he bashes the hell out of a vocal sample until it submits to the will of the layers of electrobass pushing up against it from beneath.
My jaw kinda dropped a bit when I heard this. Yours will undoubtedly do the same. Just remember, kids-like Kurt Loder said, you heard it here first.
