Heaven knows Jesus is pretty miserable today…

…but give him a couple of days.

If you missed this last year, get familiar: Manchester Passion was one of the kitschiest, weirdest and most fucking awesome BBC projects to ever captivate both sides of the pond. The concept was actually simple: “hey, all those gurn-like-a-fucker Manch rave hits? They’re kinda inspirational, and can be made to be about Jesus really easily, without changing anything. Let’s get, oh, famous people, that the kids like, like Tony Wilson, to act out a passion play.

Oh, and Tim Booth should be Judas.”

Damn straight he should. The video above is Tim “James” Booth, betraying Jesus.

James is back together, and they’re touring. Bet he gets some shit about how awfully he hits those notes at the end of this.

Happy e_ster.
